IDF Confirms Hostages Alex Dancyg and Yagev Buchshtav Mistakenly Killed in Gaza
Jul 22, 2024, 10:47 AM
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed the deaths of two hostages, Alex Dancyg, 76, and Yagev Buchshtav, 35, who were held by Hamas in Gaza. The confirmation follows new intelligence information. Both men were abducted on October 7 and were believed to have been held together in Khan Younis. The IDF informed their families that their bodies are still being held by Hamas. Dancyg, a Holocaust survivor's son and Holocaust educator, would have celebrated his 76th birthday yesterday. Buchshtav was a newlywed musician. The hostages were likely mistakenly killed by IDF forces during battles in Khan Yunis months ago.
