A 20-year-old Israeli border police officer was lightly injured in a stabbing attack near the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem's Old City. The attacker, a Palestinian man wielding a small box cutter, was neutralized by Israeli security forces. Following the incident, Israeli forces closed the Old City gates and obstructed access to the Damascus Gate area. The gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque were also shut down. The incident has heightened tensions in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
