Israeli Settlers Attack Palestinians and Activists in Masafer Yatta, West Bank, Causing Injuries Amid ICJ Ruling
Jul 21, 2024, 09:04 AM
Israeli settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, have launched a series of attacks on Palestinian civilians and international activists in the occupied West Bank. These incidents occurred in various locations, including Masafer Yatta, Hebron, Sha'b al-Butum, and Qusra, south of Nablus. The attacks involved physical violence, including the use of baseball bats and batons, resulting in several injuries. The violence follows a ruling by the International Court of Justice declaring Israeli settlements illegal. In addition to the assaults, Israeli soldiers were reported to have opened fire on a Palestinian vehicle and detained youths in Hebron, subjecting them to humiliation. The Israeli forces also stormed towns such as Kober and Kafr Malik, arresting multiple Palestinians. American volunteers were among those injured, and settlers from Esh Kodesh were specifically mentioned in the attacks.
