Florida Doctor Stephen Andrew Leedy Arrested for Producing Child Pornography, Coercing 10 Minors; Linked to One Victim's Death
Jan 9, 2025, 07:54 PM
Dr. Stephen Andrew Leedy, a 59-year-old palliative-care physician from St. Petersburg, Florida, has been arrested and charged with three counts of production of child sexual abuse material and two counts of coercing or enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity. The U.S. Attorney’s Office, Middle District of Florida, alleges that Leedy used the online handle 'maximumuncle#9112' to sexually exploit and victimize about 10 minors. According to court documents, Leedy instructed these minors to produce sexually explicit images of themselves and directed them to engage in self-harm activities, including cutting, choking, and hanging themselves. One victim reportedly died by suicide in November 2022, following instructions provided by Leedy. Leedy was arrested on December 19 while driving with family members in Georgia. He faces life in federal prison if convicted.
