Pune Teen's Family Coerces Driver to Take Blame for Fatal Porsche Crash; SK Agarwal and Doctors Arrested
May 27, 2024, 03:53 AM
In a shocking development in Pune, the family of a 17-year-old boy involved in a fatal Porsche crash has been accused of attempting to cover up the incident by coercing their driver to take the blame. The crash, which occurred on May 19, resulted in the deaths of two techies. According to Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, the juvenile's father and grandfather offered cash and gifts to the driver and later threatened him to accept responsibility for the accident. The driver was wrongfully confined and pressured to give a false statement. Both the father and grandfather, identified as SK Agarwal, have been arrested and charged under IPC Sections 342, 365, 368, and 506. Additionally, two doctors from Sassoon General Hospital, Dr. Ajay Taware and Dr. Shrihari Halnor, have been arrested for tampering with the blood samples of the juvenile to show no alcohol content. The blood sample of the minor was replaced with that of another person, and the original sample was discarded. The police have added charges of forgery and destruction of evidence against the doctors. The doctors allegedly received 3 lakh for the manipulation. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are seeking further clarity on the DNA sampling and reports. The juvenile's grandfather has been sent to police custody until May 28th.
