Adobe Unveils Tools to Protect Artists, Expands Content Credentials
Oct 8, 2024, 04:00 PM
Adobe has announced new tools to protect artists from AI-driven content theft and misinformation. The company is set to release a web app and a Chrome extension in the first quarter of 2025 to help artists authenticate their digital works. These tools, part of Adobe's Content Credentials initiative, will include features like digital fingerprinting, invisible watermarking, and cryptographically signed metadata. The goal is to provide a robust method for verifying the authenticity of digital content and ensuring that artists can control how their work is used, including whether it can be used for AI training. Adobe is also expanding its Content Credentials “nutrition labels” to provide more detailed metadata.
