VisitUkrainian Drones Strike OMON Base in Grozny; Kadyrov Confirms Third Attack
Dec 15, 2024, 07:52 AM
Early on December 15, drones attacked military targets in Grozny, the capital of Russia's Chechnya region, marking the third such attack in recent times. The strikes reportedly targeted an OMON special forces base and the second regiment, with local sources reporting at least four explosions. Some reports attribute the attack to Ukrainian drones, including E-300 UAVs and converted Aeroprakt A-22 Foxbat aircraft, which flew at least 500 miles to reach Grozny, approximately 1,500 km from Ukraine. Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov confirmed the strike but did not provide details on casualties or damage. The targeted base is reportedly used for deployments to Ukraine. The attack follows a similar strike earlier in the week.
