Russia Says It Shot Down 7 Ukrainian Missiles, 7 Drones Over Kursk; 34 Drones Over Neighboring Regions
Nov 25, 2024, 04:03 AM
Russian air defense systems intercepted multiple Ukrainian missiles and drones over several regions, including Kursk, Lipetsk, Belgorod, and Oryol, according to regional authorities. Initial reports indicated that two missiles and 27 drones were shot down over Kursk overnight, but later updates stated that seven missiles and seven drones were intercepted in that region. Additionally, Russian defenses intercepted 34 drones over Lipetsk, Belgorod, and Oryol. The governor of Kursk, which borders Ukraine, confirmed the incidents. Some reports suggest that Ukrainian forces may have launched between five and ten ATACMS missiles—a U.S.-supplied system—toward the region, indicating the use of Western-sourced weaponry.
