President-elect Donald Trump announced that a meeting is being arranged between him and Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss ending the war in Ukraine. Speaking at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday, Trump said, 'He wants to meet, and we're setting it up.' The incoming president expressed a desire to 'end this war' and referred to the conflict as 'a bloody mess.' The Kremlin confirmed that Putin is open to talks with Trump without preconditions. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia welcomes Trump's readiness to solve problems through dialogue and that preparations for the meeting will begin once Trump officially takes office on January 20.
