Overnight IDF Strike Hits Hamas, Islamic Jihad at Gaza Hospital Compound; Large Fire Reported

Overnight, the Israel Defense Forces conducted a precision airstrike on a Hamas command-and-control facility in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, the military announced. The facility was located within a compound that previously housed the Shuhadaa al-Aqsa Hospital. According to the IDF, both Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad used the site to plan and execute attacks against Israeli troops. The airstrike caused a large fire at the site, with reports indicating that a tent encampment on the hospital grounds caught fire and is burning out of control. Palestinian sources claim there has been a massacre in the courtyard of the Al-Aqsa Hospital, but these claims have not been independently verified.
