Netflix Finalizes Three-Year Deal to Stream 2024 NFL Christmas Day Games
May 15, 2024, 02:11 PM
Netflix is finalizing a significant deal to acquire exclusive rights to stream two NFL games on Christmas Day for the next three years. This three-season agreement marks Netflix's first foray into live sports broadcasting. The streaming service will air both Christmas Day games in 2024 and at least one holiday game in 2025 and 2026. Netflix is reportedly paying around $150 million per game. One of the games will feature the Steelers hosting the Chiefs in Week 17 on a Wednesday. This move places Netflix among other streaming platforms like Amazon Prime and Peacock, which also have exclusive rights to NFL games. The deal is expected to boost Netflix's advertising business and expand its content offerings.
