Anas Said Arrested in Houston for Alleged ISIS Ties and 9/11-Style Terror Plot
Nov 14, 2024, 07:09 PM
Anas Said, a 28-year-old Texas man from Houston, was arrested by the FBI on charges of attempting to provide material support to ISIS and planning a terrorist attack on U.S. soil. The arrest was announced by FBI Houston Special Agent in Charge Douglas Williams, who stated that Said had allegedly created ISIS propaganda videos and admitted to researching how to conduct an attack on local military recruiting centers. The FBI, along with the Houston Police Department (HPD) and Harris County Sheriff's Office (HCSO), have taken Said into custody, preventing a potential '9/11-style' attack.
