Microsoft has announced a significant investment of $1.7 billion in Indonesia to develop cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure. This initiative, described as the largest in the company's nearly three-decade presence in the country, aims to bolster Indonesia's digital capabilities and economic growth. The investment includes building data centers and training 840,000 Indonesians in AI skills over the next four years. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella highlighted the investment's role in advancing Indonesia's cloud and AI ambitions and supporting the country's development in a new technological era.
