Pep Guardiola Signs New Manchester City Deal Until 2027 with No Break Clause Despite 115 Charges
Nov 21, 2024, 08:05 PM
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has signed a new two-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2027. The Spanish coach, whose previous deal expired in 2025, has agreed to extend his stay, which will see him surpass a decade at the Etihad Stadium. The new contract does not include a break clause, even in the event of the club facing relegation due to 115 Premier League charges over alleged financial wrongdoing. Guardiola expressed his special connection to the club, stating, 'Manchester City means so much to me. That is why I am so happy to be staying for another two more seasons.' Since joining City in 2016, Guardiola has won 18 trophies, including six Premier League titles, one UEFA Champions League, and multiple domestic cups. He hopes to add more silverware in the coming years.
