INLD Chief and Former Haryana CM Om Prakash Chautala Dies at 89 in Gurugram

Former Haryana Chief Minister and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) chief Om Prakash Chautala, grandfather of Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, passed away at the age of 89 at his residence in Gurugram around noon on Friday. He suffered a cardiac arrest, according to party spokespersons. Chautala, who served as Haryana's Chief Minister five times, was still active in politics until his death. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge expressed his condolences, noting Chautala's significant contributions to the service of Haryana and the country. Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda also mourned his passing, highlighting their positive relations and Chautala's lifelong dedication to public service.
