YSRCP's Under-Construction Office Demolished in Guntur District Amidst 'Vendetta Politics' Allegations, Despite Court Orders
Jun 22, 2024, 06:23 AM
The under-construction central office of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in Tadepalli, Andhra Pradesh, was demolished early Saturday morning. The demolition, carried out by Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) officials, occurred despite YSRCP's legal challenge in the High Court the previous day. YSRCP leaders, including party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, have accused the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of engaging in 'vendetta politics.' According to YSRCP, the demolition disregarded court orders and was executed without following proper procedures. YSRCP leader Ravi Chandra Reddy stated that bulldozers dismantled the office without following any procedures. Heavy police presence was noted at the site. TDP officials, however, defended the action, claiming the construction was illegal and lacked necessary permissions. The site of the demolition is located in Guntur district, specifically within the boat yard compound of Seethanagaram in Tadepalli Mandal.
