Moises Calleros Banned for Four Years by UKAD After Positive Cocaine Test Despite Death Three Months Ago
Jun 24, 2024, 04:49 PM
Moises Calleros, a former boxing world title challenger, has been issued a four-year ban by the UK Anti-Doping Agency (UKAD) after testing positive for cocaine following his defeat to Galal Yafai in April last year in a UKAD test. However, it was later revealed that Calleros had passed away in March of this year from a suspected heart attack, a fact that UKAD was unaware of when they announced the bizarre ban. UKAD has since released a second statement addressing the oversight.
