French Police Arrest 18-Year-Old Russian Planning Attack During Paris Olympics
Jul 23, 2024, 06:09 PM
French police have arrested an 18-year-old man in the Bordeaux area, southwest France, who is suspected of planning a terrorist attack during the upcoming Paris Olympic Games. The arrest was made by the DGSI, France's internal security agency, on July 23, following a tip-off from a security source. The individual is believed to have associated himself with a terrorist organization and expressed his desire to commit a violent act during the event. French prosecutors have also indicated that the suspect is a Russian citizen involved in a plot to destabilize the Olympics. The arrest was confirmed by Le Parisien and France's anti-terror police PNAT.
