The Thai government is considering lifting a 52-year-old ban on alcohol sales between 2 PM and 5 PM. Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has indicated that the proposal, put forward by the Restaurant Operators Association of Thailand, aims to support the struggling tourism industry and restaurant operators facing rising costs and weak consumer spending.
