Russia Launches 8-Hour Drone Attack on Kyiv, Ukraine Shoots Down 74 of 106 Drones, Two Wounded
Nov 7, 2024, 07:56 AM
Overnight, Russia launched a massive drone attack on Kyiv, targeting residential buildings and causing significant damage. The attack, which lasted eight hours, saw dozens of Shahed kamikaze drones deployed. Ukrainian air defense managed to shoot down 74 out of 106 drones, with 25 more neutralized by electronic warfare systems. Debris from the downed drones caused fires in several districts, including the Pechersk district, leading to evacuations and injuries. Two people were wounded, and the local landmark building, 'Jack House,' was damaged. The US continues to forbid Ukraine from striking back at the sources of these attacks, leaving Kyiv vulnerable to further assaults.
