First Ukrainian Drone Strike Hits Chechnya's Putin-Named Special Forces University; No Casualties Reported

At 6:30 am local time on Tuesday, a Ukrainian drone attack struck the Russian Special Forces University in Gudermes, Chechnya, causing a fire on the roof of an empty building, according to Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov. No casualties or injuries were reported. Kadyrov claimed that the drones were shot down and emphasized that 'everything is fine.' This incident marks the first reported drone strike on Chechnya since Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The university, named after Russian President Vladimir Putin, trains special forces personnel, including those deployed in Ukraine. Kadyrov vowed retaliation for the attack, stating that 'we will destroy them' in response.
