Bombay High Court Orders Release of Minor in Pune Porsche Crash on June 25
Jun 25, 2024, 09:32 AM
The Bombay High Court has ordered the release of the minor accused in the Pune Porsche crash case from the observation home on June 25. The decision came in response to a habeas corpus petition filed by the accused's aunt. The court declared the remand orders illegal and set them aside. The minor, who was allegedly under the influence at the time of the accident, is to be in the care and custody of his aunt. The court noted that the minor is also in trauma. The crash, which occurred on May 19 in Pune's Kalyani Nagar, resulted in the deaths of two software engineers, Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta. Additionally, the father of the minor, Vishal Agarwal, has been granted bail in a case related to the Juvenile Justice Act but remains in custody for other pending cases. He is accused of manipulating blood samples.
