Deshaun Watson won't face NFL discipline after sexual assault probe ends due to insufficient evidence
Dec 6, 2024, 09:55 PM
The NFL has closed its investigation into the latest sexual assault allegations against Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson, citing insufficient evidence to support a violation of the league's personal conduct policy. An NFL spokesman stated, "The matter is closed. There was insufficient evidence to support a finding of a violation of the personal conduct policy." Watson, who settled the lawsuit filed in September last month with a confidentiality clause, will not face any further discipline from the NFL. The closure of the case means that Watson, who signed a $230 million contract with the Browns, will not be suspended or fined and will continue to play without any additional penalties.
