NASA Confirms No Emergency on ISS After Disturbing Medical Drill Audio Broadcast
Jun 13, 2024, 06:02 AM
NASA has confirmed that there is no emergency situation aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Earlier concerns arose due to an accidental broadcast of disturbing simulation audio on NASA's livestream at approximately 5:28 p.m. CDT. The audio, which depicted astronauts being treated for decompression sickness, led to widespread speculation and alarm on social media. NASA clarified that the audio was from a ground-based medical drill simulation audio channel and not an actual emergency involving the crew of Expedition 71.
