Rwanda has officially declared the end of its first-ever Marburg virus outbreak, which began on September 27, 2024. The outbreak resulted in 66 confirmed cases and 15 fatalities, with nearly 80% of those infected being health workers. Authorities confirmed that 42 days have passed without any new cases, marking a successful containment effort.
