Rwanda has confirmed cases of Marburg viral disease, a serious hemorrhagic fever similar to Ebola. The Ministry of Health is investigating the origin of the infection, with all infected individuals currently isolated. The exact number of confirmed cases has not been disclosed. Reports indicate that the infections are located in multiple health facilities, suggesting the virus may have been spreading for some time.
