Former Pakistani Spy Chief Faiz Hameed Faces Charges Under Army Act for Political Activities

Lieutenant General (Retired) Faiz Hameed, the former head of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), has been formally charged by the Pakistani military. The charges include engaging in political activities, violations of the Official Secrets Act, misuse of authority and government resources, and causing undue harm to the state. The military's public relations wing, ISPR, announced that these charges were filed under the relevant provisions of the Pakistan Army Act on August 12, 2024, marking the beginning of a Field General Court Martial (FGCM) process against him.
