Snap Inc. Reaches $15 Million Settlement with California Over Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation Allegations
Jun 20, 2024, 12:24 AM
California’s Civil Rights Department has reached a $15 million settlement with Snapchat’s parent company, Snap Inc., over allegations of discrimination, retaliation, and sexual harassment against female employees. The settlement follows a three-year investigation into the company's practices. The lawsuit claimed that Snap failed to prevent workplace harassment and retaliated against women who complained. Women who worked at Snap between 2014 and 2024 may be eligible for compensation.
