Martín García, Sinaloa Cartel Operative with Four Million Dollar Bounty, Found Executed
Aug 19, 2024, 03:12 PM
Martín García Corrales, a key operative for the Sinaloa Cartel under Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada, was found executed along with three other bodies in Elota, Sinaloa. García, also known as 'El Tano', was closely associated with Zambada, a prominent drug lord. The United States had placed a four million dollar bounty on García. The incident has prompted calls for peace in Sinaloa, with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador urging calm and seeking clarity on the ongoing negotiations between Joaquín and Ovidio Guzmán and U.S. authorities. The president also emphasized the need for more information regarding the case involving 'El Mayo' Zambada and Joaquín Guzmán López. The resignation of Sinaloa's prosecutor, Sara Bruna Quiñónez, was supported amid these developments.
