Silvia Pinal, the iconic Mexican actress known as the last diva of the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema, has passed away at the age of 93. Pinal was hospitalized on November 21 due to a urinary tract infection, which later worsened, leading to her admission into intensive care. Despite initial expectations of her release, her condition deteriorated, and she remained in the hospital with her family by her side. Her death was confirmed on November 28, 2024, following a week in critical condition. Throughout her illustrious career, Pinal starred in over 100 films, telenovelas, and TV series, gaining worldwide fame for her work with director Luis Buñuel in films like 'Simón del desierto,' 'Viridiana,' and 'El ángel exterminador.'
