VisitSweden Accuses Russia of Satellite Interference and Airspace Violation After Joining NATO
Jun 21, 2024, 06:59 AM
Swedish authorities have accused Russia of engaging in 'harmful interference' with the country's satellite networks. This interference was first noted shortly after Sweden joined NATO earlier this year. The Swedish Prime Minister, Ulf Kristersson, reported that the interference targeted three different Sirius satellite networks and originated from Russia and Russia-occupied Crimea, Ukraine. This comes a few days after a Russian SU-24 bomber violated Swedish airspace. Sweden, in collaboration with its partners, is currently seeking a response to these actions.
