Microplastics Found in 100% of Human Testicles in Recent Small Study Last Week
May 23, 2024, 03:30 AM
Researchers at the University of New Mexico last week discovered that microplastics are present in 100% of human testicles examined in a recent small study. The study, published in the Oxford Academic journal, found that microplastics and nanoplastics are present in human testicles at levels three times higher than in animal testes and human placentas. This finding adds to growing concerns about the pervasive presence of microplastics in the human body, as they have also been found in blood, hearts, lungs, and brains. The study examined 23 human and 47 canine testicles, all of which contained microplastics. The presence of these particles in reproductive organs raises potential concerns about male fertility and overall health impacts.
