Ronin Network Introduces zkEVM, Partners with Polygon for Enhanced Gaming Scalability and Largest Player Base

Ronin Network has announced the introduction of Ronin zkEVM, a significant upgrade allowing developers to create their own layer 2 (L2) chains on Ronin using Polygon's Chain Development Kit (CDK). This partnership with Polygon positions Ronin as a leading blockchain for gaming, offering permissionless access and greater scalability. The move is expected to support a growing community of developers and gamers, potentially accommodating hundreds of millions of users. The integration of zkEVM technology is seen as a game-changer, enabling more intense on-chain experiences and economic alignment between Ronin zkEVM sequencers. Ronin's collaboration with Polygon also places it among the top three gaming networks utilizing Polygon's technology. Ronin, which has the largest player base in the industry, has been evolving for nearly four years under the development of Sky-Mavis.
