China Successfully Launches Tianping-3 Satellite with Long March-6 from Shanxi Province

China successfully launched the Tianping-3 satellite on Tuesday from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in Shanxi Province. The satellite was launched at 8:10 a.m. Beijing Time (0010 UTC) on Oct 22 using a Long March-6 carrier rocket and has entered its preset orbit. This launch marks the 541st mission of the Long March carrier rocket series. The Tianping-3 satellite will provide services such as atmospheric space environment surveys, orbital prediction model corrections, and radar calibration. The Long March-6 rocket is notable for using a liquid propellant made of liquid oxygen and kerosene, which is free of toxicity and pollution.
