Insomniac Games Founder Ted Price Retires, Names Three New Co-Heads After Sony Acquisition

Ted Price, the founder and CEO of Insomniac Games, has announced his retirement after more than 30 years at the helm of the studio. Price, who founded the company in 1994, will step down at the end of March. He has been instrumental in developing popular franchises such as Spyro the Dragon, Ratchet & Clank, and Marvel's Spider-Man. Insomniac Games, acquired by Sony Interactive Entertainment for $229 million in 2019, will see a transition to a new leadership structure with Ryan Schneider, Chad Dezern, and Jen Huang appointed as co-studio heads. Price expressed confidence in the new leadership, stating that they have been key to the studio's success and will continue to drive Insomniac forward.
