Jan 22, 2025, 04:21 PM
Ted Price, the founder and president of Insomniac Games, has announced his retirement after over 30 years at the helm of the studio known for developing the 'Ratchet & Clank' and 'Marvel's Spider-Man' franchises. Price's decision to step down was made last year, and he will officially retire at the end of March. Following his departure, Insomniac Games, which was acquired by Sony Interactive Entertainment for $229 million in 2019, will be led by a new trio of co-studio heads: Ryan Schneider, Chad Dezern, and Jen Huang. Schneider, who joined during the PlayStation 2 era, has held various senior roles including head of brand and leadership strategy. Dezern, with the studio since 1998, has contributed across five console generations and most recently served as head of creative. Huang, who joined in 2016, has been instrumental in financial roles and has worked on 12 acclaimed titles. The new leadership team aims to maintain the studio's culture of transparency and collaboration while continuing to deliver the games fans cherish.
