Rand Paul Proposes Elon Musk for House Speaker to 'Disrupt the Swamp'
Dec 19, 2024, 02:03 PM
Senator Rand Paul has suggested that Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, should be appointed as the next Speaker of the House. In a statement, Paul noted that "The Speaker of the House need not be a member of Congress," and added, "Nothing would disrupt the swamp more than electing Elon Musk... think about it... nothing's impossible." The proposal comes after Musk reportedly played a role in torpedoing a bipartisan agreement on a short-term spending bill.
