Spanish actress Marisa Paredes, the muse of director Pedro Almodóvar, has died at the age of 78, as announced by the Spanish Academy of Cinema. An iconic figure in Spanish cinema, Paredes appeared in six of Almodóvar's films, including "High Heels" and "All About My Mother." She also worked with director Agustí Villaronga. In 2018, she was honored with the Goya de Honor for her lifetime achievements. Paredes served as president of the Spanish Academy of Cinema and was known for her commitment to democracy and social rights.
