SpaceX concluded its launch activities for 2024 with the successful deployment of 21 Starlink satellites on December 31, marking the company's 134th launch of the year. The launch, which took place at 12:39 a.m. EST from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, was the final of 89 dedicated Starlink missions in 2024. This mission not only closed out the year for SpaceX but also contributed to the record-breaking total of 93 launches from Florida's Space Coast. The Falcon 9 first stage booster used for this mission, B1078, completed its 16th flight, having previously supported missions like Crew-6 and USSF-124. SpaceX's efforts in 2024 have significantly expanded the Starlink constellation, now serving over 4.6 million customers worldwide and adding more than 300 Tbps of capacity to the network through enhanced V2 Mini satellites. The company also introduced Starlink Direct to Cell capability, expanding into 27 new markets and covering areas with a combined population of 2.8 billion people.
