SpaceX successfully launched its first Starlink mission of 2025, deploying 24 V2 Mini satellites into low Earth orbit from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The launch, which took place at 3:43 p.m. EST on Monday, January 6, marked the second Falcon 9 launch of the year. The first stage booster, B1077, completed its 17th flight and landed on the SpaceX droneship 'Just Read the Instructions' in the Atlantic Ocean. The mission faced blustery conditions due to an approaching cold front, but proceeded at the end of the launch window. SpaceX's Starlink constellation continues to expand, with the company aiming to launch more than 170 Falcon rockets in 2025.
