Novak Djokovic, a 24-time Grand Slam champion, defeated Carlos Alcaraz 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 to advance to the semifinals of the Australian Open. The 37-year-old Serbian secured his 50th Grand Slam semifinal appearance and his 12th at the Australian Open, where he has previously won 10 titles. Despite losing the first set, Djokovic rallied to overpower the 21-year-old world No. 3 Spaniard in a match lasting 3 hours and 38 minutes. Djokovic will face Alexander Zverev of Germany in the semifinals.
