Yankees Fans Banned Indefinitely from MLB for Grabbing Mookie Betts During World Series Game 4
Jan 10, 2025, 09:00 PM
Two New York Yankees fans, Austin Capobianco and John P. Hansen, who interfered with Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts during Game 4 of the World Series at Yankee Stadium, have been banned indefinitely from all Major League Baseball stadiums and facilities. The fans grabbed Betts' wrist and attempted to take the ball from his glove during the game approximately two and a half months ago. MLB officials imposed the ban to prevent them from attending any future games. Betts stated that he restrained himself from throwing a ball at them during the incident. Many Yankees fans have expressed approval of the punishment and disapproval of the fans' actions.
