Meta Plans $60-65 Billion Capital Expenditure in 2025, Expands AI and Data Center Capacities

Meta Platforms Inc. is set to significantly increase its capital expenditure to between $60 billion and $65 billion in 2025, up from a previous guidance of $38 billion to $40 billion and an estimate of $51.31 billion. CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced plans to expand Meta's AI teams and to bring online approximately 1 gigawatt of compute capacity by the end of 2025, with the company's GPU count expected to exceed 1.3 million. Additionally, Meta is constructing a massive data center with over 2 gigawatts of capacity, which Zuckerberg stated would be large enough to cover a significant part of Manhattan.
