Denis Law, the legendary Manchester United and Scotland forward known as 'The King', has died aged 84 after a battle with Alzheimer's disease and dementia, his family announced. Law was the last surviving member of Manchester United's famed 'Holy Trinity' alongside Sir Bobby Charlton and George Best. He scored 237 goals in 404 games for the club, making him the third-highest scorer in United's history. The only Scottish player to win the Ballon d'Or, receiving the honor in 1964, Law also had stints with Manchester City and Torino. He earned 30 goals in 55 appearances for Scotland. Manchester United released a statement expressing deep condolences, saying 'His flair, spirit, and love for the game made him the hero of a generation.' Tributes have poured in from across the football world for the man affectionately known as 'The King of the Stretford End.'
