He also plans to expand state provisions to target migrants involved in gang activities, increase penalties for illegal voting, and crack down on remittances. Despite some pushback from Florida GOP leaders who described the session as 'premature', Trump has publicly praised DeSantis's efforts, urging other governors to follow suit. Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has also announced a special session for the same date to address similar issues.
