Jan 25, 2025, 03:18 AM
The Dallas Cowboys have promoted offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to become their new head coach, team owner Jerry Jones announced. Schottenheimer, 51, who has served as the Cowboys' offensive coordinator for the past two seasons, will receive a four-year contract. He becomes the tenth head coach in franchise history, despite never having served as an NFL head coach before. Jones remarked, 'Brian Schottenheimer is known as a career assistant. He ain't Brian no more. He is now known as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.' A press conference is scheduled for Monday to officially introduce Schottenheimer in his new role. The son of the late NFL coach Marty Schottenheimer, Brian brings over 25 years of coaching experience to the position.
