Kings Fire Mike Brown; Doug Christie Named Interim Coach Amid Sixth Straight Loss

The Sacramento Kings have fired head coach Mike Brown and are expected to name assistant coach Doug Christie as the interim head coach, according to league sources. Christie, who has been an assistant with the Kings since the 2021-22 season and played for Sacramento for five of his 15 NBA seasons, is set to take over coaching duties for the remainder of the season. Christie has trained with Kings center Domantas Sabonis in each of the last two summers. In Christie's first game as interim head coach, the Kings lost to the Los Angeles Lakers 132-122, marking their sixth consecutive defeat.
