Dec 6, 2024, 10:29 AM
India has completed its first hyperloop test track, a significant milestone in the development of high-speed transportation technology. The 410-meter test track, located at IIT Madras' Discovery Campus in Thaiyur, is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Railways, IIT Madras' Avishkar Hyperloop team, and TuTr Hyperloop. This indigenous hyperloop system aims to revolutionize transportation in India, with the potential to drastically reduce travel times, such as the possibility of traveling from Mumbai to Pune in just 25 minutes. The project draws inspiration from the hyperloop concept popularized by Elon Musk.
