Rodrigo Garro, a midfielder for Corinthians, was involved in a fatal car accident in his hometown of General Pico, La Pampa, Argentina, early Saturday morning. The incident occurred when Garro's Dodge RAM truck collided with a motorcycle driven by 30-year-old Nicolás Chiaraviglio, who died at the scene. Garro was detained following the accident and tested positive for 0.5 grams of alcohol in his blood, leading to charges of aggravated manslaughter due to driving under the influence. The accident took place on the day of Garro's 27th birthday. He was released after giving his statement to authorities but is expected to face further legal proceedings, including a hearing on Sunday.
