The film, co-written by Eggers and Sjón, his collaborator on 'The Northman,' is slated for a Christmas Day 2026 release. 'Werwulf' will be set in 13th century England, featuring dialogue in Old English to accurately reflect the time period. Initially planned to be filmed in black and white, the movie will now be in color.
